Well I just like understanding how things work. For me reading a text book on how something works just isn’t good enough. I learn very practically and that means physically having something apart in front of me. But if I can take something apart and put it back together again then I have understood how it works. Now if I can successfully understand how something works I can make improvements to it. So I started to improve certain aspects of the car. I would start by altering the exhaust system and air intake to remove excess bends or narrow pipework. This would allow air to flow easier and increase the power of the engine. Over time I would make lots of alterations and put a much bigger engine in. How did I know I was actually making things better? I used to spend my weekends at Santa pod raceway and record my times on the track with various setups.

Anyway the result was I won a few events at Santa pod with a Vauxhall Corsa that was putting in similar times to super cars. I was also invited to take part in an event called TOTB (Ten Of The Best) which was for the fastest cars in the country. I then made it into the final at this event.
