I got interested in science as I like to understand things and always ask lots of questions. It was natural to then end in a career that was science oriented. Even if I didn’t work as a scientist I would still be testing things, doing experiments and wanting to learn more about the world. You can’t really take that curiosity know away.

I’m a very outdoors person, and from a young age loved to pore over atlases and massive library books on the way the world worked. Actually seeing features in real life – sand dunes, a tree, the tides – and learning how and why they formed was so exciting to me even then.

When I got older and realised there are still so many things we don’t know, I wanted to be part of discovering them. Hopefully I’ll get to do that.

I always asked lots of questions as a kid which drove my parents crazy! That’s when I started as a scientist, I was curious about everything! then I was lucky enough to see a space shuttle launch from NASA in Florida when I was 12 and I was inspired to work in the space industry ever since!
