Aah I haven’t and I’d love to! I haven’t had the occasion yet, but he’s a very brave and inspiring man. I really respect how hard the astronaut training process is (there will actually be a BBC programme on it soon) and he does a lot to get schools involved and excited in what he does.

I haven’t had the chance to meet Tim Peake yet, but I have met a few other astronauts which was very cool! I got taught by a NASA astronaut call Jeff Hoffman, and he did a very dangerous spacewalk and fixed the Hubble telescope! One day I would like to meet Tim Peake but he’s a very busy man, he’s actually going to go back into space!

I too haven’t met Tim peak yet but if I did I would have a huge list of questions to ask him. I think one of the most interesting things I’d like to know is what does space look like when you are in space. It one thing looking through telescopes and images taken by space craft, but what is it like to actually look out the window while you are in space and see it for yourself?

Yes, I have met Tim Peake . . . he visited the Stevenage Airbus site when I was a new gradute engineer and the local news came to do an interview. He was very nice.

I’ve also meet Michael Foale (UK/US astronaut from the 90’s) as we went to the same university and he came back to give a talk over dinner. He was also cool and had some great stories about almost dying on the MIR space-station.

      Right, bragging over . . .
