I actually haven’t made any computerised robots to date. However, I am continually writing computer programs to do work for me. You could consider it more like a virtual robot than a real one. For example I might create a simple computer program where the only physics I am interested in is gravity. Normally in astrophysics the most significant force we are concerned with over long distances is gravity. Therefore I tell the computer to see what happens to some matter in lots of different configurations. The computer then calculates the answers to lots of equations to see how things behave in my own little universe.
