• Question: Why do we see stars in the sky as a silver colour when we know hot stars are blue ad old cool stars are red?

Stars are actually moving away from us so fast that when we look at them properly they appear red (this is a property called red shift, which you’ll learn about in GCSE physics), and they appear blue when moving towards us. We see stars as white though because that light is passing through our atmosphere and gets distorted.
