I became a scientist because I realised how much there is left to discovery about the Universe: I always thought we knew so much there were only little bits left to fill in, but there are so many massive mysteries left for people to understand.

My dream job growing up was to be a Jedi Knight and protect the galaxy, but studying our solar system is almost as cool 🙂

I became a scientist because I have always spent a lot time wanting to know more about things and especially space. I find this area of science the most exciting as it has some of the most fundamental questions we need answers to. Also as said before being a scientist isn’t just about having a job. Its something you do regardless. Scientists will always test things and do little experiments in their everyday life, even if they don’t realise they are doing it.

I spend a lot of time looking up at the sky and training other people how to use telescopes. I also get to look at data and images from spacecraft in other parts of the Solar System. Its hard to see how that couldn’t be a dream job :). Certainly is quite exciting.

I became a scientist because I always ask a lot of questions and I’m very curious about the world around me. When I was 12 I was lucky enough to see a space shuttle launch from NASA in Florida and from then I wanted to work in the space industry. My dream job was to work as flight director at ground control!
