• Question: What is the biggest known galaxy and how big is it?

      So biggest galaxy we have found is IC 1101 (again another uninspiring name). This galaxy is 6 million light years across and contains around 100 trillion star. Our Milkyway in comparison is tiny at only 100,000 light years across and 100 billion stars.

      There must be a planet around one of those stars that has life on it with those huge numbers?
