How big is your imagination? In space you don’t feel the pull of Earth’s gravity and so float: imagine being underwater but you’re actually just floating in air. Astronauts have a lot of fun flying around the space station and playing with things like water, which in microgravity forms floating spheres!

If you’re near Earth, you’re going to want a window seat: if you’re aboard the International Space Station you’ll be orbiting the Earth once every 92 minutes, which means around 15 sunrises a day. Good spot for some photography and people-watching (billions all at once).

If you’re in the black of space between planets, like if you were in the seven-ish month journey to Mars, you could still read, play computer games, listen to your iPod, and get TV shows by satellite. But I think I’d take a while to get bored of doing slow-motion somersaults and zooming from one end of the ship to the other in a superman pose.
