Black holes are region in space where gravity is so strong not event light can escape; if you were inside a black hole there is no way you could ever escape or even send a message to the outside. The strong gravity is due to a point at the centre of the black-hole called a “singularity” where all of the black hole mass is compressed down to an infinitely small, infinitely dense point. So, how dense is a black hole . . . most of it is not very dense at all, except for the very centre which is infinitely dense.
